[Message from Lily] What I've Been Up To?

Hello folks,

Just wanted to give you an update on my lack of updates on this site. One, my junior year in university has began and it's kicking me in the rear-end, literally. And I haven't actively watched any latest k-dramas lately. Mainly because of the lack of outstanding plots and repetitive story lines.

My thoughts on the first two episodes of "Records of Youth" was major disappointment. The plot was painfully plain and the excessive family scenes did not help. Unlike Reply 1988, I can't seem to 'like' or 'root' for this family because they are so annoying. I might continue to watch (and maybe screencap some of my favorite scenes) but won't be doing episodic recaps on it.

I've continuously watching "Flower of Evil" when I have some free time, but I don't like the drama enough to recap all of it. I will share an overall thoughts on the drama when it's done airing. Quite the same situation with "Missing: On The Other Side".

"Stranger 2" has been the biggest letdown for me out of all. I had way too high of expectations so that could've been my fault. Or maybe I should accept that sequels will never live up to the original.

However, I'm excited for some of the upcoming series! Especially, "Tale Of The Nine-Tailed" with Lee Dong-wook and (the return of KIM BUM, oh my goodness!!!).

Also, I will be posting recaps on an old k-drama, one of my favorites of all time, "All In" starring Lee Byung-hyun and Song Hye-kyo, so stay tune!

Tale Of The Nine Tailed

You guys have no idea how excited I am about Kim Bum's television comeback! 😊 It has been way too long... I wonder when Lee Dong-wook will get a vampire role lol. His pale skin and starry eyes just seems so fitting.

I hope this drama will be dark and sincere. I'm very tired of the basic romance tropes and the little investments into the main theme.

Initial Thoughts

So so happy to see Park Bo-gum in a drama again! The plot doesn't sound too interesting but I'm excited to see Park Bo-gum and Park So-dam as a pair. I wonder if it's a love triangle? πŸ€”

[Flower Of Evil] Episode 2

The episode begins with Hee-sung practicing his smiling in front of the mirror with videos lectures. If this scene don't give you the creeps, I don't know what would.

Flashbacks to head nurse Park revealing her identity to Ko Dae-hwan as well as admitting that she's unhappy with how her daughter has turned out. >_<

After they return home, Kang-tae suggests that they all move away together. Moon-young firmly states that she'll tear the butterflies to pieces since she has a knack for catching them lol. Kang-tae embraces her in his arms. Moon-young grabs a hold of his tie and pulls him in for a kiss. 😊

[Flower of Evil] Episode 1

Chilling... a very chilling premiere!

We open up with Baek Hee-sung (Lee Joon-ki) and Cha Ji-won (Moon Chae-won) having a heavy make-out session in a metal shop. Eventually, Ji-won rushes to leave for work after realizing she's late. Hee-sung jokes that she's the one that got caught up with the music. They're seeing his parents tonight and Hee-sung mentions that Ji-won tries too hard with impressing them.

Later, the two along with their daughter, Baek Eun-ha (Jung Seo-yeon) drives to the parents' house. Ji-won notes that she wants to build a better relationship with her in-laws. Eun-ha complains that grandma is scary. And when Ji-won comforts Eun-ha that she's not scary, Eun-ha -pokes that mom is scared of her, too lol. πŸ˜‚
